Room Information
Some of our rooms and suites lead unto the tranquil inner garden, and the others look unto the Oberlinden (the upper lime tree) – the prettiest square in Freiburg. All rooms offer our guests a special historical atmosphere and sense of tradition, beautifully combined with all modern-day conveniences and comfort. Hotel guests may use the in-house sauna free-of-charge.
Dining & Bar
The typical Alemannic hotel restaurants radiate the ease with which guests have been served here for the past 9 centuries. Fresh and seasonal produce from our region is prepared here with due care and diligence. In addition we offer mainly local wines from private vineyards and winegrowers’ cooperatives from the Baden region.

Area Information
The cathedral which took around 300 years to build is the pride and main landmark of Freiburg. The cathedral square plays host to a colourful farmer’s market every day except Sundays, and is flanked by historic buildings such as the historical marketplace or the old watchtower. Also worth visiting in Freiburg are the old and new Town Halls, the Whale-house with its magnificent late-Gothic portal bay window, the Basler Hof or the 2 remaining Medieval gates. You can enjoy picturesque views of the Old Town around the Schwabentor (Schwabian gate) and in the island. In addition there are the discreet charms of Freiburg – arcane alleyways, hidden corners and idyllic courtyards. Around Freiburg you can visit the majestic mountain landscapes and the wine-producing region of Baden. This provides the perfect backdrop for walking, cycling, golfing, skiing, wine-tasting and enjoying good local food.
